In June 2020, the Schaden Zentrum Mainfranken became the largest body and paint center in and around Würzburg. The new paint and body center not only impresses with a total area of over 8,300 square meters. The symbiosis of pioneering technology, efficient work processes and sustainable green technology guarantees the perfect accident repair of state-of-the-art vehicles.

SEHON, one of the leading manufacturers of high-tech painting systems for over 40 years, was deliberately chosen for the implementation.

The new body and paint center consists of

• 5 workstations for vehicle preparation (preparation of the vehicle for the painting process)
• 2 masking workstations (for masking work on areas of the vehicle that are not to be painted)
• 2 combi spray booths (Professional Futura with integrated drying mode) and
• 2 separate drying systems.

All-round process-oriented equipment, as implemented here, ensures perfect workflows and therefore high efficiency and cost-effectiveness in the new Mainfranken Damage Center. In addition to ecological aspects, process orientation is an essential part of any business. Schaden Zentrum Mainfranken is also committed to the environment with its new SEHON painting systems.

Year-round heat recovery

Paint booths work with heated circulating air. Heat recovery (HR) in the systems ensures that the heated circulating air required once for the painting and drying process can be used not just once, but several times. The multiple use of heat produced once saves an enormous amount of energy. SEHON heat recovery technology impresses with its consistently high recovery efficiency throughout its service life. This is due to a perfect, high-quality filter system that prevents the usual contamination of heat recovery systems.

Demand-based energy control

Many paint booths from other manufacturers work with huge energy requirements because the systems have no or only very limited energy control. SEHON spray booths, on the other hand, work with an intelligent control system that automatically controls the energy requirements of the painting system according to the respective operating mode. SEHON spray booths are sensor-controlled and recognize whether painting is taking place in the spray booth, whether a break is being taken, whether the painting process is being stopped or whether drying is taking place in the booth. This means that only as much energy is consumed as is absolutely necessary. This targeted control in turn saves a lot of energy.

SE-ÖCOPLUS energy-saving system

The SEHON SE-ÖCOPLUS energy-saving system ensures further energy savings. This SEHON system ensures that only a small amount of fresh air needs to be supplied during painting, standby and drying. Thanks to this technology, it is possible to work largely with the already heated exhaust air in recirculation mode. SE-ÖCOPLUS therefore controls the recirculation of heated air that has already been used in the system and would normally escape through a chimney. This permanent recirculation of once heated air in combination with heat recovery leads to enormous energy savings.

Particle-free exhaust air

Another highlight of SEHON spray booths is the 99% particle-free exhaust air. Thanks to the perfect SEHON SE-SUPRACLEEN filter system, the circulating air is filtered so finely that no paint or dirt particles are released into the outside air. This is good for nature and the environment, but also for the people who work in a paint store or live near a paint store.

LED lighting

SEHON painting systems were the first in the industry to be equipped with LED lighting as standard. LED lights not only consume 60 % less energy, but also have a higher light output, making them 30 % brighter. The installation of LED lighting, which is much narrower than the previous tubes, has led to a further improvement in the air flow in the cabin (from top to bottom). The now fully laminar airflow not only improves the painting quality. More components can be painted in the booth.
