EGLI PAINT opens new painting center on Lake Constance. EGLI PAINT GmbH is a Swiss company specializing in the painting of business and multi-purpose aircraft. A modern painting center was built at St. Gallen-Altenrhein Airport, which impresses not only with its dimensions. Not only aircraft are painted here, but also road vehicles of all kinds.

Modular XXL combi paint booth

2 combi-painting booths, one behind the other, 10 m and 6 m long respectively. The two combination booths can be separated from each other by a roller shutter. This separability into 2 independent paint booths has tangible ecological and economic reasons. The total length of 16 m is not required for every painting job. This means that a wide variety of components can be painted and dried independently of each other in the 10 m and / or the smaller 6 m combination booth at the same time, as required. This means that the painting and drying booths can be used to their full capacity. This makes the painting operation flexible and, above all, saves energy.

A roller shutter separates the large paint booth into 2 separate paint booths.

Complete painting through multi-workstation for giants

An extraordinary and effective feature is a gigantic multifunctional workstation where all the steps involved in the repair and complete painting of aircraft with a wingspan of up to 20 m are carried out. On the hall floor you can see a huge cross that corresponds to the dimensions of a jet in length and width.

This cross is repeated in exactly the same place on the hall ceiling. What is behind this special feature? If you take a closer look at the crosses, you can see that they consist of a large number of smaller exhaust air flaps (hall floor) or supply air flaps (hall ceiling). During the painting process, a complete jet including wing can be driven directly onto the cross. This clever solution ensures the prescribed supply and exhaust air at a multifunctional workstation without having to dismantle the aircraft into individual parts.
