Audi Center – State-of-the-art workshop and body and paint department of the latest generation

Graf Hardenberg, Karlsruhe is expanding the Audi Center in Gerwigstrasse with a new two-storey building. The total area of the new building is around 22,000 m². The new building in state-of-the-art Audi terminal architecture includes the sales area, the service advice center as well as social and meeting rooms. It also includes a 120 m long outdoor exhibition area for used vehicles. The building complex also includes an additional building for service and workshops with two full storeys and three parking decks above. A five-storey parts warehouse will be erected between the two buildings. >> In the meantime, the Audi Center and the body and paint center have been completed.

The new “Service and Workshop” building, also known as the service building, is 108 m long, 30 m wide and has 5 storeys. On the 1st floor, the most innovative, modern and future-oriented body and paint center with the latest high-tech paint systems from SEHON is being built. A combined heat and power plant with 2 cogeneration units with a total of 200 kW not only delivers great energy and future-oriented quality, but also makes a contribution to the environment. The 2 paint lines are equipped with cutting-edge technology from SEHON and are absolute leaders in technology and sustainability. From masking to finishing – perfectly coordinated processes, environmental friendliness and energy efficiency are perfectly implemented together with SEHON. From May/June 2021, painting at Graf Hardenberg in Gerwigstraße is expected to be at the highest level – no quality problems! Thanks to permanent extremely high air extraction with a capacity of 38,500 m³ of air (365 times) per hour, no dust inclusions are possible!

SE-Inspector

CAMELEON bodywork workstation – Premium Master

The new CAMELEON bodywork workstation is a multi-material mix bodywork workstation for all necessary work such as welding, cutting, sawing, grinding, gluing, riveting, fitting, pulling, shaping, vacuuming and cleaning. The economic and technical background to this innovation: body stores and vehicle workshops have to adapt to the special features of mixed construction methods in accident repair.

The basic version of CAMELEON includes a tested and approved curtain system with a choice of transparent strip colors, LED lighting with at least 900 lux, a welding fume extraction system on the left or right, a technical rear panel for the extraction and filter technology, integrated tool cabinets with separate steel and aluminium tools, various shelves and storage spaces and a central supply terminal for all media. The workstation can be operated in recirculation and exhaust air mode.

Optional equipment features include a roof ventilation system for smoke residues and fumes, a second welding fume extraction system, aluminum and steel tools, hand tools and consumables, special tools, lifting platforms and straightening benches.
