Senger Autohaus Group, Rheine

With 1,900 employees in 38 car dealerships, the Senger Group in Rheine is one of the top five largest car dealership groups in Germany. At the company headquarters in Rheine, two million euros were invested in the new “Starlack” competence center for the repair of accident damage and bodywork repairs.

The new paint and body center was built directly onto the existing modern administration building of Senger Holding and architecturally merged. Senger used the former truck center site for this and relocated the truck center to a new building on the A30.

According to Andreas Senger, Managing Partner of the Senger Group, the new “health center for vehicles” will gradually bundle the repair work from the surrounding locations in Rheine: “This will create a modern infrastructure for vehicle damage control. All work can be carried out even more professionally, efficiently and using the latest technologies, and synergies can be exploited.”

On over 2,100 square meters, more than 30 qualified and experienced employees provide state-of-the-art accident repairs for all makes and models, not only for Senger’s own brands such as Mercedes, Audi, VW, Škoda, Porsche, Peugeot, smart and Seat.

The range of services offered by “Starlack” also includes minor damage repair (spot and smart repair), a car glass service, electronic bodywork measurement, corrosion removal, upholstery and plastic work, paintless dent removal and vehicle cleaning. Also included in the Auto-Senger service: Pick-up and delivery service, replacement or rental car service, towing service and a 36-month warranty for the services performed.

In general, “Starlack” focuses on optimizing work processes on the one hand, and on environmental protection on the other. Only water-soluble paints are used at “Starlack”. For example, floor extraction systems have been installed to ensure a high level of occupational safety for employees.

The new paint and body center is equipped with state-of-the-art SEHON premium class “SE-PROFESSIONAL FUTURA” combination paint booths that are optimized for energy and environmental protection. These high-tech booths with integrated dryer feature highly efficient, energy-saving SE-ÖCOTOP unit technology with integrated SE-NONSTOP-PLUS year-round heat recovery.

With additional features such as modern gas surface burners, the SE-ÖCOPLUS energy-saving system (energy control according to operating mode), a modern booth air management system (SE-AIRMASTER) and a fully automatic air pressure regulation system (SE-CONTROL), the new spray booths are not only highly economical, but also extremely energy-saving. Important for the environment, nature and employees: The intelligent SEHON SE-SUPRACLEAN filter system with several filter stages ensures 100% particle-free exhaust air.

SEHON also supplied an additional double dryer, a paint conditioning room and 15 SEHON universal workstations with supply terminals for the new body and paint center. The universal workstations are used for vehicle preparation, finishing work and minor damage repair(spot repair).

Each universal workstation is equipped with a new SEHON supply terminalthat meets the ergonomic and safety requirements of a modern preparation station. The compact terminal neatly and centrally integrates, among other things, sanding dust extraction, power supply (switched 230 V and 400 V sockets), compressed air and connections for sanding, painting and lifting platform.

The “Starlack” is also a showcase project for SEHON. Tiemo Sehon comments: “The new Senger paint and bodywork center in Rheine uses state-of-the-art paint shop technology, completely energy and process-optimized. A perfect symbiosis of intelligent high-tech and energy-saving green technology. The new paint center is a very good example of modern refinishing with a very high focus on quality and service. Holistically planned and implemented in a future-proof manner.”
